Happy Thursday, friends! I hope you are all staying warm this week. We have been hit with yet another snowstorm so I am currently cuddled up on the couch by the fire with a hot chocolate. Is it just me or does this winter seem to be lasting forever?!
Speaking of winter, I have always struggled with finding the perfect jean to wear with snow boots. I am not a fan of wide jeans that get wet from dragging in the snow, so I typically lean toward a skinny jean that can be tucked in. But, this year I was determined to find a jean that could be styled multiple ways in the winter and still look good with a clunky snow boot when necessary.
After lots of searching, meet my new favourite jean - the High Rise Vintage Slim Jean. These jeans have the most beautiful silhouette that is a perfect mix between a form fitting jean and a straighter style at the ankle. I find these jeans have the perfect amount of stretch that maintain their shape throughout the day.

JEANS: high rise vintage slim jean (wearing size 25 short) | SHIRT: white t-shirt | SWEATER: pink striped sweater (similar)| SHOES: ballet flats
Initially, I only picked up one pair of these jeans to try out. After a few days, I was headed right back to the store and now have 3 different pairs in various shades (yes, they have a ton of shades to choose from!). Of course I brought Meg along and she now has 2 pairs as well!
Now onto the fit of the jeans. They carry a range of sizes and lengths, including regular, tall, and short. I picked up a 26 regular in my first pair as it was the closest to my normal size (one size up) and they do fit well but I find they are a bit loose in the waist and a bit long on me. With this said, I do love the longer length for the winter months because they are the perfect length to wear with winter boots!
For my next two pairs, I got my regular size of a 25 short and they fit perfectly! They hit right at the ankle making them perfect for wearing with sneakers or sandals in the warmer months. I am so excited to start styling these for spring!
Remember when I was talking about how it is awkward wearing jeans with boots in the winter? I find the slim fit of these make it so easy to transition between wearing jeans both over and under boots making them so versatile!
Overall, I cannot recommend these jeans enough if you are looking for a chic, versatile, classic jean to add to your rotation. I absolutely love them, and I think you will too!
Love,
Sarah
