The Love List

It has truly been a crazy year that none of us were expecting. There have been so many highs and lows, with particularly more lows than highs at times. It can be so easy to get stuck in a rut when things aren't going well; can anyone else relate? I want to start a new blog post series about products/things that have been bringing me joy recently in hopes to bring a little bit of light to your day. Think new fashion trends, bible studies, books, and random products that have proved to be exceptionally noteworthy. I hope that you guys will enjoy it, and that it will bring a bit of inspiration to you as well. I'm calling it "The Love List". This past year I have found a few things that have really helped me get through some of those 'ruts' I was referring to, and I thought I would share a few of them today. I hope you enjoy!

THE LOVE LIST

  • LIVE by Sadie Robertson - This has been such a fun book to read and I could not recommend it more! Sadie writes all about what it looks like to live your life for God, and to enjoy every minute of it.

  • She Reads Truth Bible Study - I have been going through the bible study Women and Men in the Word, and I have loved it! This year I really wanted to get more intentional about reading my Bible and spending time with God. So far, I have finished the New Testament bible study and I am about halfway through the Old Testament. I know this won't apply to everyone, but I have found that spending more quiet time reading the Bible has really helped me refocus on what matters and find some peace.

  • Adult Coloring Books - I put on some calming yoga music, a de-stressing diffuser blend, and my salt lamp and color away. This is one of my favourite ways to relax and forget my stressors for a little while! This colouring book looks so cute!

  • Puzzles - Let me tell you, I have done SO many puzzles this year. I either put on my favourite TV show, podcast or some music and I could get lost in a puzzle for hours. This puzzle was especially fun!

  • Get Out of Your Head: Stopping The Spiral of Toxic Thoughts by Jennie Allen - I did a book club through the LO Sister app on this book, and boy was it ever enriching! I learned so much about how to end the vicious cycle of anxious/negative thoughts. This book is also based around Christianity so it may not be for everyone, but it is a great read!

  • Prayer Journaling - I have started writing out my prayers as I pray for them, and I have found it so stress-releasing writing them out. It is also so rewarding to look back and see how God has answered those prayers; it's amazing!

  • Yoga - I have been practicing yoga for years, and I continuously love how relaxing it is! I have started throwing on this Sunrise Yoga playlist on Spotify during my practice and I find it enhances it so much!

  • Board games - These are such a fun way to spend some time with family and friends! We just got the Harry Potter Pictopia game as an early Christmas present and have played it so many times already!

What helps you get out of a rut?

Love,

~ Anna
